We are in the final stretch of a fantastic school year! The month of May always brings so many fun activities and opportunities for reflection after the hard work put in by our students, teachers, parents, and volunteers.

Serving as the 2022-23 HES PTA President has been my honor and pleasure. I am humbled by the outstanding work that has been done by this community, all for the love and benefit of our children! Through the connections made this year, we are all stronger!

Thank you to our Staff Appreciation Committee chaired by Rachel Canafax for hosting this awesome week.

The HES PTA invites the whole family to our annual Spring Fling event on May 5th in the HES cafeteria and gym from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.  

Entry to Spring Fling is free for the family.  Concessions, glow items, and cookie walk tickets may be purchased with cash or credit card on site. 

This is not a drop off event.  All students must be supervised by an adult.

The HES PTA will host a General Membership Meeting on Thursday, May 4th at 6:15pm in the HES Cafeteria.  Doors open at 6pm.

The annual election of officers will take place at this meeting along with recognizing our HES PTA Volunteer Award recipients and announcing our HES PTA Senior Scholarship finalists. 

Everyone is welcome to attend, and PTA members are welcome to vote. The HES musical performance, Willy Wonka, will immediately follow the meeting.

It's time to order School Supply Packs for the 2023-2024 school year.  Orders close May 31st.  

Each supply pack is customized by the teachers of Heritage Elementary.  Supply packs will be delivered directly to your child's classroom prior to Meet the Teacher in August.

Please note that headphones are an add-on option this year.  All students will need headphones, and families have the option to purchase via EPI or purchase on their own.

The HES Field Day is Friday, May 19th.  This day is full of fun and excitement with an obstacle course, 9 square in the air, water games, & more!  

Students should wear their colored field trip shirt or a shirt that is their grade's color. 

Parents are welcome to attend the fun!  Please fill out your 2022-2023 GCISD background check if you plan to attend. 

Concession tickets are available for purchase online through the end of day on Wednesday, May 17th.  Tickets are $1 each with a maximum of 7 tickets/student.  Pre-purchased concession tickets will be delivered to the homeroom teachers on field day.

Gatorade or Water: 1 ticket

Candy & Snacks: 1 ticket

Phase 1 of the HES Outdoor Learning Center was approved at the April 24th GCISD Board of Trustees meeting. The project will begin in June once school is out for the summer.
